Casting Bread Food Pantry

Casting Bread Ministries was founded in July 2006. We strive to show the love of Jesus Christ in a tangible way. God cares about people and so do we, which is why we serve the community through feeding people physically as well as spiritually. We also endeavor to be a referral source for those services we cannot provide.

Casting Bread is located at 194 Aho Road, Blowing Rock, North Carolina on the campus of FaithBridge United Methodist Church. We provide free access to food in our self-choice pantry every Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30-3:00. We also offer a hot meal and conversation in our soup kitchen on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 - 1:00. The soup kitchen is open to the entire community.

We invite you to partner with us in our efforts to continue feeding people. Please join us in our efforts to increase food security in our community. If you would like to donate food, toiletries or funds, please visit our Get Involved page or click the donate button below.

Click here to see an up-to-date listing of our small groups, and new ones are forming all the time. FaithBridge has groups that are meeting everywhere, all the time, and you might find one just right for you in 2016!

BridgeGroups this Sunday at 10am!
We hope to see you early for BridgeGroups! This is a time to connect with each other in small group settings and form deeper relationships with those around us.
Here are the BridgeGroups currently being offered:

Young (and young at heart) Adults with rotating facilitators. NEW!
This is a group for anyone; a time of instruction and sharing.
Location: Church office kitchen

Dragonflies and Kids on the Rock with Elise Sigmon
Ages 4 yr -4th grade
Location: Children's classrooms in the church office building

Sprouts with Ms. Mandy Eagle
Ages birth-3 years
Location: Sprouts room in the church sanctuary building

Junior Youth Bridge Group
Grades 5-8
Small group leader Melissa Freeman.
Location: "New" Youth House

Youth BridgeGroups 2.0
Small group leaders: Shannon Henries and Daniel Burwell
Ages: 7th-12th grade
Location: "NEW" Youth House

Where to go and what to do with the young ones at 10 AM:

Dragonflies and Kids on the Rock
will meet for their lesson at 10am. Please drop off your child at their classroom in the church office building at 10am. Their teachers will bring them back to the sanctuary at 10:45am.

Childcare
will be offered for Sprouts from 10am-12noon and for Dragonflies during the service (they will leave after the Children's sermon). Please pick up your Dragonfly after the service in the church office building. Thank you!

Sprouts
are babies, toddlers, and preschoolers ages birth-3 years. The kids enjoy a short Bible story from our toddler Bible and a little snack along with lots of fun free play! Our friendly volunteers will greet your child every Sunday, ready to play and teach your child about God.
*Parents-please sign your child in and out at the sign in sheet on the Sprouts door.

Bridge Groups Dragonflies & Kids On The Rock
are kids 4 years old-4th grade who meet from 10-10:45am for their lesson. They have classrooms in our church office building. Please drop them off at their class at 10am and their teacher will bring them back to the sanctuary at 10:45am.
*Parents-please sign your child in at the Connecting Table.

The first Wednesdays Monthly WILD WEDNESDAY 6 PM is worship for families geared toward kids. The whole family participates.

April 1 Family Movie TIME in the church. 4-6 PM Saturday. "Zootopia" (we aren't fooling you!) Hosted by Allyson & Benny McFalls. "Popcorn Bar" available and bring other snacks to share. Donations to the Humane Society can be made.

April 2 Men's Group Breakfast @ 9:30 AM in the Office Kitchen with a speaker & a meal. Open to anyone.

April 5 Wild Wednesdays @ 6 PM is worship for families geared toward kids. The whole family participates in the church.

April 30 is 5th Sunday Feast after Worship. Pot Luck meal. Bring a little extra for those who are visiting or just forgot.
